Industrial

Kirkham Board have successfully undertaken a number of projects both in terms of new build and refurbishment of industrial premises.

Kirkham Board has a wide range of knowledge on all type of industrial premises, from light industrial to storage warehouses, to manufacturing uses.

We are well versed in refurbishing and upgrading older units so that they comply with modern standards.

Kandy Toys

Kandy Toys approached us with a fairly unique problem. They knew that they needed new premises, but did not know how big the premises needed to be, where to locate it, or how to construct it.

Kirkham Board assisted in finding a site, calculated their required building size (based on pallet storage and office space requirements), and procured the construction of their new premises from inception through to completion acting as Architectural Designers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM Coordinators.

Kandy Toys Phase 2

Since constructing the original Kandy Toys head-quarters building, the huge success of Kandy Toys' business model ensured that they required a new building in order to increase their storage capacity.

Midas Developments put together a proposal to construct a new warehouse building of 50,000ft? plus 5,000 ft? office accommodation in a green field site within close proximity to Kandy Toys' existing building.

Kandy appointed Kirkham Board to act as Employers Agent to work alongside Midas Developments to successfully procure the scheme.

Kandy Toys Phase 3

Following completion of the new warehouse building, Kandy Toys asked us to create a large mezzanine structure within the new building.

The mezzanine was 70,000 sq/ft over three floors.

Kirkham Board designed the new mezzanine, tendered the package, obtained the necessary approvals from local authorities, and monitored the works on site to ensure successful completion of the project.
